Questions to ask potential videographers and what to look for

a.       What’s your filming style?

b.       Do you use a gimbal?

c.       Do you shoot in 60fps (slow-mo)

d.       What camera do you have?

e.       Are you personable? Not a questions, but ask them personal questions to loosen them up and see how they are. Nothing against introverts, they can still shoot beautiful images, but they don’t really talk, and are on a totally different frequency. But hey, maybe you’re like that, and you don’t mind it. Then to each his own. Again, just ask personal questions to see if your personalities match and vibe as well. Even ask them how the get along with other photographers, videographers. When someone has an ego, it can make people umcomfortable.

f.        What’s your turn around like?

g.       Or you solo, or do you have someone helping you. It’s good to know if they will  be personally editing, or outsourching the edit? Some people send out their videos to India and get a good discount, usually when they have scaled up to like 10-20 weddings a month.
